Cocktail Recipe: TaMatcha, a matcha based cocktail

Wicked Spoon Confessions brings to you a signature recipe for TaMatcha - a rum based "Root To Fruit Cocktail" courtesy The Fatty Bao.  "Root To Fruit Cocktail" follows the garden to glass concept where cocktails are created with house-made syrups & different parts of plants like flowers, seeds, leaves, roots, stems and even the pods.


White rum - 60 ml
Matcha syrup - 60ml
Basil - 4 leaves
Lime juice - 15 ml
Soda - to top
Basil sprig - to garnish

  • Fill a roly-poly glass or an old-fashioned glass with ice.
  • Smash 4 basil leaves between your palms and add into the glass.
  • Add the matcha syrup, white rum and lime juice.
  • Stir well until mixed and top with soda.
  • Garnish with a sprig of basil.
