Homemade iced teas are one of the best ways to beat the heat.

Start by brewing basic iced tea and than add herbs, fruit juices or syrups as per choice. All you need is a cold iced tea pitcher and some imagination :D. Use black or green tea as per choice.

To make basic ice tea:

Steep two tea bags (or 2 spoons of loose black/green tea) in four cups of hot water for 3-5 minutes depending on how you like your tea- strong or light. Discard the tea bags. Add simple syrup (made with equal parts or sugar and water, heated till sugar dissolves) and stir. Refrigerate till serving.
