Maggi is unhealthy

Maggi contains fat 

Truth: According to ICMR recommendation on Dietary Guidelines for Indians, fat content is also important in a balanced diet. In fact, the total fat in the diet should provide between 20-30% of total calories. The fat content per pack in MAGGI at 11-13g falls within the recommended proportions.

Maggi is full of carbohydrates

Truth: A balanced diet should provide nutrients in proper proportions and approximately 50-60% of total calories in a day from carbohydrates, about 10-15% from proteins and 20-30% from fat according to ICMR recommendation on Dietary Guidelines for Indians. Maggi are fried, hence harmful 

Truth: Every pack of MAGGI noodle goes through 5 step cooking for packaging and longevity purposes. In the first step they are steamed followed by baking. The third step involves quick frying  to reduce the moisture and to cook the noodle cakes enough to provide stability. This step ensures each pack of Maggi stays fresh for several months. Finally after drying and cooling the noodles are packed.

Maggi Noodles with Exotic Vegetables

Prep Time: 10-15 minutes
Cook Time: 5-10 minutes
Serves: 1-2 persons



Ingredients:

  • 1 pack Maggi
  • 1/2 Zucchini chopped length-wise
  • 1 carrot sliced
  • 4-5 nos French beans trimmed & chopped
  • Cooking Olive Oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Dark soy sauce as per taste
  • Chili Sauce as per taste
  • Maggi tastemaker
  • Chopped spring onion greens for garnish

Method:

  • Stir fry the vegetables with oil on a high flame till they soften but still crunchy.
  • Cook Maggi noddles in hot water as per instructions, without the taste maker and add to the stir fried vegetables.
  • Mix together dark soy sauce, chili sauce and taste maker to make a seasoning. Add to the noodles and mix well.
  • Garnish with chopped spring onion greens and serve hot.
