Curry Leaf Chutney Recipe

Curry leaves aka kadi patta play a popular role across Indian kitchens. These flavor enhancers have many health benefits too. Make a delicious kadi patta chutney with fresh leaves that will add a nice flavor to your mealtimes.


100 gms curry leaves
50 gms roasted chana dal
2 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp sugar
2 tsp vegetable oil
salt to taste


Heat oil in a kadhai & add cumin seeds, roasted chana dal, sesame seeds & curry leaves. Roast for 5 minutes on slow flame. Take care not to burn. Switch off the gas & allow to cool. Transfer to a mixer & grind to a fine powder after adding sugar & salt. Serve with idlis, dosas or parathas.
