Flavours of Nara, A Must Try Lunch Experience At Nara Thai, BKC
Craving delicious Thai food in Mumbai? Moreover, want to enjoy it seated outdoors, watching the world go by? What if we told you to head to the bustling Bandra Kurla Complex? Yes, Nara Thai in BKC offers authentic Thai cuisine in spacious areas divided into main dining area, al fresco seating & private dining area. As a matter of fact, the restaurant is a beautiful mix of modern space embellished with traditional elements.

Choose to sit by the large windows in the main dining area or the al fresco setting if the weather permits. Dominated by the color purple, the restaurant has elegant spacious interiors embellished with the intricate play of wood, mirrors & ornate fans. Also, as the weather was beautiful, we chose the comfortable & cozy outdoor seating area to enjoy our lunch.

The Flavours of Nara menu is divided into appetizers, soup/salad, mains, rice/noodle & desserts. In addition, one can choose between alcoholic/ non alcoholic experience. Further, choose from tasty appetizers like tofu satay, crispy corn cakes, stir fry spicy potato with Thai herbs, crispy shrimp cakes, grilled chicken with Thai herbs.

Served with sweet chili sauce, the crispy shrimp cakes were absolutely delicious. Subtle taste of fresh shrimp & crispiness of bread crumbs combined well.
Next, the grilled chicken with Thai herbs had bite sized pieces of juicy chicken stir fried with spicy sauce & fresh herbs. However, avoid this appetizer if you do not like spicy flavors.

In addition, popular Thai soups like tom yum, tom kha are on the menu too. However, one gets to choose between salad or soup. Hence, we chose our all time favorite som tam salad.

Another choice we absolutely loved was the chicken fried rice paired with Thai style chicken green curry. Also, the spicy stir fried noodles with chili & basil were good enough to be eaten without any additional curry.

For desserts, we tried one each from the menu. The Nara coconut ice cream with condiments was a delicious pairing of fresh coconut ice cream & condiments like nata de coco, sugar jelly, salted peanuts & more. Next, the Thai pannacota had subtle infused flavours of Thai tea. Not only we found it creamy & delicious but unusual too.
