Cecconi’s At Soho House Mumbai Serves An Irresistible Sunday Brunch

Soho House, Mumbai’s hottest new members only club and hotel does everything with flair. Moreover, the 10 storey building, overlooking Juhu beach is the first outpost in Asia. Founded in London in 1995 for people working in creative industries, it houses a rooftop pool and bar, event space, members lounge & a library. And how can we not tell you about the 32 seater cinema! If this intrigues you enough to plan a visit, what if there is more? Especially, the irresistible Sunday brunch at Cecconi's, the northern Italian restaurant, located on the ground floor. The popular brunch features a selection of salads, cheese, cold cuts, fresh seafood, live pasta, risotto and pizza counters along with desserts.

Climb a couple of steps, walk beyond a cozy cafe to arrive at the sea-facing 150 seater Italian restaurant. The restaurant is divided into a covered area and an al fresco area.

Additionally, a large bar on one side and an impressive art wall add to the cosy welcoming chic ambience.

We chose an outdoor table with views over the Arabian sea & relaxed with live jazz playing in the background.

Nearby, the cocktail cart was busy serving Mimosa & Bellini to guests. However, we chose a musk melon Bellini (sparkling wine, prosecco, fresh musk melon puree) to pair with our selection of cheese & cold cuts (pork).

The salad selection was huge. And we tried three beans salsa salad, shaved vegetable salad, cold cut salad & smokey tomato farfalle. Next, we chose dishes from a fixed menu that featured soup of the day, pizzas- vegetarian/non vegetarian options & mains.

Moreover, guests can also choose from live counters serving a variety of freshly made pastas, pizzas & wraps.

For our non vegetarian main course we chose chicken roulade (boneless rolled chicken breast, stuffed with mushrooms). The dish was simple yet tasty. Besides, it paired well with Mimosas from the cocktail cart. Our partner chose Pok choy served with almond aioli & raisins. The dish was easy on the palate & not heavy, a great way to keep some space for dessert.

A variety of Italian desserts were lined up indoors. Hence, we tried raspberry tart (fresh & delectable), French cake (made with dark chocolate), fresh fruit & assorted pastries.

From the live counter, we selected fresh waffles topped with blueberry cream & fruits & home style crepes.

As the brunch came to an end, we settled back to admire the views. Of course, with a glass of Mimosa in hand.

  1. Another advantage of kitchen gel mats is that they are waterproof, which is extraordinary in the event that you end up spilling something on the kitchen floor. The exact opposite thing you need is a puddle of fluid representing a danger to somebody who enters the kitchen. They may slip on the puddle and afterward collide with furniture.
