Honey Soaked Lemons

Honey and Lemon are both superfoods and pair naturally as the natural sweetness of honey is an ideal contrast to the sourness of a lemon. Soaking fresh lemon slices in honey and refrigerating it for 2-3 day make the lemon slices very palatable, soft and mild which can be consumed on its own. The honey also becomes thinner and not too sweet or sour and the concoction can be used to make honey lemon tea, honey lemon shaved ice, honey lemon chicken. You can also drizzle it over toasts or fruit salad or use it in infused water.



Tips: 
  • You can use 120 gms of lemon pieces with 200 gms of honey, however you may adjust the amount of honey based on your personal preferences.
  • Make sure your pour enough honey to completely cover the lemon slices.
  • Sterilize the air tight container used for storage in boiling water and dry it before use.
  • Rinse knives and spoon in hot water before use.
  • Store in refrigerator.

Ingredients:
  • Lemons - 4
  • Honey - 200 gms

Method:

  2. Cut the lemon into thin slices and transfer to a glass jar
  3. Cover the lemons in honey.
  4. Refrigerate for 2 days and consume.
