Komdi Cha Rassa (Chicken Curry) Recipe

Recently Wicked Spoon Confessions enjoyed a staycation at Double Tree By Hilton Pune, Chinchwad. Apart from a comfortable stay, we also indulged in some good food & loved a few signature recipes we sampled.

Here is a recipe from 3 spices restaurant at Double Tree By Hilton Pune, Chinchwad that is tangy, spicy & flavorsome.




INGREDIENTS:

Chicken (with bone) 180 gm
Chopped onion 100 gm
Chopped tomato 30 gm
Chopped green chilly 8 gm
Chopped coriander 8 gm
Grated coconut 40gm
Chopped ginger & garlic 5 gm
Goda masala 5 gm
Salt to taste
Chilly powder 5 gm
Turmeric powder 5 gm
Coriander powder 5 gm
Cumin powder 5 gm
Garam masala 5 gm
Oil 15 ml

METHOD:
  1. Take a kadhai & heat oil. Sauté the chopped ginger & garlic along with grated coconut. Once the flavor comes put the onions and sauté till it get light brown.
  2. Put chopped tomatoes & chilies and slowly put the powder spices along with the goda masala and garam masala.
  3. Add the chicken & mix it with the masala. Cook till the chicken releases its juice in the masala.
  4. Pour some stock in the gravy and make it thin as you need and cook the chicken till it gets cooked.
  5. Put some chopped coriander in the curry to give additional flavor.
  6. Serve it in the bowl  garnished with chopped coriander and serve with hot bhakris.
