3 Easy Dessert Recipes With Yogurt

Yogurt, one of the most versatile ingredient found across Indian kitchens is healthy, full of probiotic goodness and can be converted into a healthy snack easily. Want to make breakfast interesting? Try something new with plain Greek yogurt mixed with a spoonful of honey, topped with granola and seasonal fruits. For all 3 recipes, we recommend using Greek yogurt for enjoying thicker texture. If you want to use homemade yogurt, tie the yogurt in a thin muslin cloth and allow water to drain for 3-4 hours.

Yogurt With Berries

What's better than yogurt? Fruity yogurt, yes!! Use fresh or seasonal berries for this easy recipe. Take dessert glasses and scoop some Greek yogurt in a thick layer. Chop some frozen/fresh berries and add a generous layer. Fill the dessert glasses with alternate layers of berries & yogurt. Refrigerate will serving. To serve, add a generous drizzle of honey.
 


Yogurt With Spiced Apple

Whisk together one cup Greek yogurt with 2-3 tbsp of heavy cream & honey until you get a thick creamy mixture. Keep in refrigerator to chill. Warm a little unsalted butter in a nonstick pan over low heat & add two chopped apples along with brown sugar to taste. Stir and cook the apples till soft and sprinkle some cinnamon powder and mix well. Allow to cool. While serving, scoop little whipped yogurt into a dessert glass and add a layer of spiced apples. Keep alternating layers and top with some whipped cream and serve.



Yogurt & Chia Seeds Pudding

A very different style of making pudding!  Whisk together one cup Greek yogurt with 1/2 cup milk and a little maple syrup & vanilla essence. Add 3 tbsp chia seeds and mix again. Cover the mix with cling wrap and refrigerate overnight. Next morning, remove and add a pinch of Himalayan pink salt & mix again. Transfer to bowls and serve immediately. Add sliced almonds or chopped seasonal fruits for added flavor.
