Cocktail Recipes - Michelada

A Michelada is a Mexican cocktail prepared made with beer, lime juice, and assorted sauces, spices, and peppers. It is served in a chilled, salt-rimmed glass. It's very similar to a Bloody Mary,  just replacing the vodka with beer.

Ingredients:
  • 2 tblsp. kosher salt (Substitute with regular salt if you don't have kosher salt )
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 90 ml tomato juice
  • 2 dashes of tabasco
  • 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 dashes of soy sauce
  • juice of two limes
  • 175 ml a Mexican beer like Corona
  • lime wedge

Preparation:
  1. Mix your kosher salt and chili powder in a small, shallow bowl or plate. Rub the rim of a tall glass with your cut lime, then dip into your kosher salt/chile powder mixture to create your salt rim.
  2. Fill your glass with ice and add the tomato juice, tabasco, soy sauce, lime juice and tequila. Stir to mix. Then top with your beer and give it a quick stir. Squeeze your lime wedges over the top and drop into the glass. Enjoy!
